If Earth is flat, why do ships disappear hull-first over the horizon?
This is the most-cited "proof" of curvature. In practice, the effect is reversible with optical magnification — a high-power telephoto lens routinely brings the "vanished" hull back into view. That is not consistent with curvature; it is consistent with atmospheric perspective and the resolution limit of the human eye. See File 001.
What about photos from space?
Every "blue marble" image released since 1972 is either a composite, CGI, or a fisheye-distorted single frame. NASA has confirmed this on the record — composites are necessary because no single satellite captures the disk. The fisheye distortion explanation accounts for what the public sees as "curvature" in cockpit footage. See File 002.
Why does Polaris remain fixed while other stars rotate?
Polaris sits directly above the North Pole / center of the flat plane. Stars rotate around it because the celestial dome rotates around it — observable nightly with any time-lapse camera. The model fits the observation without requiring axial tilt or orbital motion. See File 003.
Are scientists lying, or just wrong?
Most scientists are sincere people working downstream of axioms they were trained on. The model is taught as fact in elementary school; questioning it ends careers. This is institutional inertia, not necessarily individual deception. The exception is the small number of figures with direct authority over space-program disclosure.
How can I verify any of this myself?
Start with the beginner experiments — they require nothing more than a level water surface, a long sight line, and patience. The visibility calculator tells you what curvature theory predicts; your eyes tell you what's actually there.
