What does "flat earth" actually mean here?
It means the Earth is a stationary plane covered by a firmament — the cosmology described in pre-1500 scripture, ancient Hebrew, Egyptian, Norse, and Vedic sources. It is not "the Earth is a frisbee floating in space." It is the older, more widely-attested model that was replaced — not disproven — by the heliocentric framework after Copernicus.
Why does this matter?
Cosmology determines worldview. If the Earth is a chance accident in an infinite universe, you are an accident. If the Earth is a fixed, designed plane, that is a different starting point. The institutions that taught one cosmology have a track record. Examining their other claims is reasonable.
Are you saying scientists are lying?
Most are sincere. They were trained on the heliocentric model in elementary school and have never had reason or career incentive to question it. The few who do, lose their funding. Institutional inertia explains 95% of the consensus. The remaining 5% — at the level of NASA program leadership and space-program disclosure — is a different question.

Ships disappear hull-first over the horizon. Curvature, right?
Apply telephoto magnification. The hull comes back into view. That is not consistent with the ship being physically below a curve — it is consistent with atmospheric perspective and the resolution limit of the human eye. Multiple high-zoom videos documenting this exist; we link them in File 001.
What about photos from space?
NASA has stated on the record that the "blue marble" images are composites — no single satellite captures the disk. Composites can be assembled from any underlying source. Independent capture by amateur high-altitude balloon (~120,000 ft) shows a flat horizon with fisheye-distorted edge curvature. That is the data we have.
What about time zones, sunrise/sunset, seasons?
All explainable on the flat-plane model with a local sun (~3,000 mi above the equator) acting as a spotlight rotating over the disk. Time zones are areas of illumination. Seasons result from the sun's annual track between Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. See the sun tracker for a side-by-side visualization.
Why don't airline pilots see the curvature?
Because there isn't any visible at commercial cruise altitude (~35,000 ft). The math says you'd need to be above ~50,000 ft to even begin to perceive curvature on the horizon. Cockpit cameras above that altitude consistently show a flat horizon rising to eye-level — not below it, as a sphere would dictate. File 001 documents this.
Polaris stays fixed. Why?
Polaris sits directly above the geographic North Pole / center of the flat plane. The celestial dome rotates around that center. This is observable in any time-lapse of the night sky and is consistent with the flat-plane model. The heliocentric model requires Polaris to be ~433 light-years away yet appear in the same fixed position — which works mathematically but adds extra assumptions.
Lunar eclipses prove a round Earth — circular shadow.
The traditional response: the lunar eclipse is not Earth's shadow but a separate celestial mechanism — sometimes called the "selenelion" — where sun, Earth, and moon are simultaneously visible above the horizon, which is geometrically impossible if the moon is in Earth's shadow at that moment. Why is Antarctica off-limits?
The Antarctic Treaty (1959, ratified by 54 nations) prohibits independent travel south of 60° latitude without state authorization. It is the only continent where private exploration is restricted by international agreement. Tourism is permitted only via approved cruises that follow set routes. File 004 documents the timeline.
Has anyone actually been to space?
"Space" depends on definition. Suborbital flights to ~330,000 ft (Karman line) — yes, repeatedly. Missions beyond low-Earth-orbit — only Apollo claims, which had no independent verification, lost telemetry tapes, and no government has replicated since 1972 despite decades of advancement in every other technology. Read into that what you will.
What about the ISS?
The ISS is a real object. What it is — and where it actually is — is a separate question. Independent observation through telescope shows a craft moving at altitude. The model used to interpret that observation is what's in question, not the existence of the object.

How do I verify any of this myself?
Start with the five beginner experiments — they require nothing but a long sight line, a level water surface, and patience. The visibility calculator tells you what curvature theory predicts at a given distance; your eyes tell you what's actually there.
